Ben Simmons almost had more fouls than points and the Philadelphia 76ers suffered another loss, but the Australian teenager still managed to dazzle.
Simmons tossed behind-the-back and no-look passes on his way to six assists and grabbed eight rebounds in the 76ers' 85-77 loss to the Golden State Warriors at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas on Tuesday.
As impressive as recent NBA No.1 draft pick Simmons was in setting up team-mates in the open court, he scored with just three of his eight field goals for eight points.
Summer League, where NBA teams play their recent draft picks, second-year players and unsigned free agents, allow players 10 personal fouls and Simmons had seven.
76ers head coach Brett Brown, who sat alongside Australian basketball great and Sydney Kings NBL coach Andrew Gaze during the game, says he remains perplexed about what position to play the 208cm tall Simmons.

However, former Australian Boomers mentor Brown said he was excited by the option of installing him as an over-sized point guard.
"At this stage I'm not sure where to anoint him, but he can play," Brown said.
The 76ers have lost all three of their games in Las Vegas while the Warriors ended their losing streak to improve to a 1-2 record.
