Sixers recruit gives top Billings to Ashes

Ahead of his appearance in the Big Bash League, Sydney Sixers recruit Sam Billings is out to prove he should be part of the English Test squad.

When English big-hitter Sam Billings pulls on the magenta shirt for the Sydney Sixers during the upcoming Big Bash League, he will do so with a point to prove ahead of next year's Ashes tour.

Billings is expected to share the gloves with ex-Australian Test wicketkeeper Brad Haddin during the tournament.

The English ODI and Twenty20 representative is using the BBL as a means of showing selectors back home of his ability to adapt to Australian wickets.
