Former South Australia mentor Darren Berry has joined the Sydney Sixers as assistant coach in the BBL.
Berry, who lifted the Adelaide Strikers to a T20 title in 2011, will team up with head coach Greg Shipperd and ex-Australian national team fast bowler Geoff Lawson.
Shipperd said Berry was a handy acquisition for the team.
"It is very pleasing to have secured highly regarded T20 coach Darren Berry as an assistant coach of the Sydney Sixers,", he said.
"Darren is well known for his tactical acumen in this particular format of the game and his presence will complement the Sixers squad in their quest for further titles."
Berry said he was looking forward to joining Shipperd and Lawson as part of such a strong coaching team.
"I am both delighted and enthusiastic to be joining the Sydney Sixers highly credentialled coaching team," Berry said. "I look forward to working again alongside long-time mentor Greg Shipperd and bowling coach Geoff Lawson.
"The opportunity to join a highly professional and respected outfit in the Sydney Sixers, both on and off the field was very opportunistic."
