Skipper Matthew Reynolds has been found guilty of the manslaughter of six passengers who died in a boat crash on Sydney Harbour.

The NSW Supreme Court jury also found his unlicensed passenger, Percy Small, guilty of six counts of dangerous navigation causing death.

The crown had alleged that minutes before the crash in the early hours of May 1, 2008, an intoxicated Reynolds handed over the work boat's wheel to Percy, who was affected by alcohol, cannabis and cocaine.

Reynolds, 32, was accused of failing to supervise Small, 26, or keeping a proper lookout before the vessel collided with a fishing trawler.

The jury, which retired last Wednesday, brought in the verdicts on Tuesday.
