The mother of a Chinese woman stabbed dozens of times before being dumped in a NSW blowhole is expected to speak to the media.

Derek Barrett, 27, is accused of murdering his wife's niece Mengmei Leng before the 25-year-old woman's naked body was found floating face down in water at Snapper Point, on the Central Coast, last month.

Peter Chen, a representative for Ms Leng's family, on Wednesday described the dead woman as being like an "angel".

He also said the woman's mother, who has flown from China, will answer questions in a press conference on Thursday afternoon.
