Slain family farewelled in Perth

A funeral service has been held for a family, including three young girls, who were allegedly murdered by the children's father in Perth.

Beverley Ann Quinn was so prepared for her funeral that she organised the songs she wanted played, but no one expected she would share the day with her daughter and three grandchildren, all allegedly murdered by the girls' father.

Three-year-old Charlotte, two-year-old twins Alice and Beatrix, and their mother Mara Lee Harvey, 41, were allegedly killed by Anthony Robert Harvey, 24, at their home in Perth last month.

He then allegedly murdered his 73-year-old mother-in-law when she came to visit them at their house in Bedford the next morning.

Mourners wept during the eulogies and while photographs of the family were shown on television screens, but in a touching moment lollipops were handed out as The Wiggles song Three Little Monkeys played.

The caskets - pink for the girls and white for the women - were adorned with blankets and garden-picked flowers.

Each also had a different item of personal significance - Ms Quinn had a ball of wool, Ms Harvey had an encyclopedia, and the children had teddies.

Ms Quinn's youngest daughter, Taryn Tottman, said her New Zealand-born mother always put family first and gave her daughters every opportunity possible.

"Mum was everything to us," she told the 200 mourners on Friday.

Ms Tottman said her mother was the canteen lady at school and later helped with aged care.

In 1997, she also cared for her dying husband.

Ms Tottman said her sister became a travel consultant, which took her all over the world, and later while working in mining in 2014 started the romance that led to marriage and children.

Charlotte was remembered as an outgoing child, with a loud and confident singing voice.

"We are now left in a world that is a little quieter, less energetic and a lot less bubbly," Ms Tottman said.

Alice was remembered for her smile and fearlessness, while Beatrix was the quieter twin with a cheeky side.

"The world is a lot colder now that it will be missing Beatrix's hugs," Ms Tottman said.

The family thanked detectives, who were in attendance, and the wider community for their love and support.
