Parts of Sydney are shrouded in a smoke haze again as firefighters take advantage of dry weather to conduct hazard reduction burns.

People with lung conditions have been told to stay inside until the smoke, which has contributed to poor air quality in parts of the city on Sunday, clears.

Rural Fire Service Inspector Ben Shepherd told AAP burns across NSW will continue next week but said many of the larger burns have been completed.

The RFS expects smoke will begin to clear as temperatures rise and the wind picks up on Sunday.

"Whilst this run of dry weather continues, we're going to keep taking advantage of it," Inspector Shepherd said.
