The season of creepy-crawlies has arrived with snake attacks, spider bites and even a scorpion sting keeping NSW ambulance services busy.
Ambulance NSW says since July it's attended 38 calls for snake bites and 74 spider bite calls, including seven relating to funnel-webs.
One person was also stung by a scorpion.
Ambulance NSW says the increase in snake bite call-outs indicates that the slithery reptiles are on the move looking for food and mates after their winter hibernation.
Redback spiders are also expected to be out and about after their hibernation.

Last spring and summer there were a toal of 288 calls for spider bites and 136 for snakes across NSW.
More people were bitten by spiders in the Sydney region (133) than in the state's north (91).
However there were 20 snake bites in Sydney compared with 64 up north.
