Snapshot of day four of the second Test

A snapshot of the fourth and final day of the second Test in Abu Dhabi in which Pakistan defeated Australia by 373 runs.

AUSTRALIA V PAKISTAN, 2ND TEST AT A GLANCE

STATE OF PLAY - Australia (145 and 164) lost to Pakistan (282 and 9d-400) by 373 runs on day four at Sheikh Zayed Stadium. Pakistan won the series 1-0.

MAN OF THE MATCH - Mohammad Abbas. South Africa great Dale Steyn reckons Abbas is on course to be named the world's No.1 Test bowler. And it's hard to argue after the Pakistan seamer ripped through Australia's batsmen to claim 10 wickets for the match. Named man of the series after claiming 17 scalps at 10.58.

KEY STAT - In terms of runs, the triumph in Abu Dhabi is Pakistan's biggest-ever winning margin in Test cricket. It is also Australia's fourth-highest losing margin by runs.

KEY MOMENT - Travis Head's dismissal to Abbas in the seventh over of play on day four prompted a disastrous collapse. Mitch Marsh, Aaron Finch and Tim Paine, who failed to offer a shot to an Abbas delivery which knocked over his off stump, followed Head back to the pavilion as Australia lost 4-7 from 26 balls.

BEST QUOTE - "It's bitterly disappointing, no doubt ... it's hard to swallow. We weren't up to it." - Paine after Australia went from having Pakistan 5-57 in their first innings to losing by a colossal margin with a day and a half to spare.
