Snipers in Syria shoot at UN inspectors

Shots have been fired at UN experts forcing them to suspend efforts to investigate claims that chemical weapons have been used.

Unidentified snipers have fired shot at UN experts forcing them to suspend their attempt to investigate claims that chemical weapons had been used near Damascus, a UN spokesman said.

"The first vehicle of the chemical weapons investigation team was deliberately shot at multiple times by unidentified snipers," said UN spokesman Martin Nesirky. No injuries were reported.
