Denmark-based goalkeeper Nathan Coe is in an Australian squad for the first time since November 2007, while former Brisbane and Adelaide defender Sasa Ognenovski could earn his first Socceroos cap after an impressive season with Korean club Seongnam Illwha.
The pair are joined in the squad by many of the leading names including Harry Kewell, captain Lucas Neill, Tim Cahill, Brett Emerton and Mark Schwarzer.

The A-League will be represented with Wellington Phoenix defender Jade North, Gold Coast United midfielder Michael Thwaite and teammate Jason Culina as well as Brisbane Roar skipper Matt McKay all selected.
The match, to be played at the Cairo International Stadium on Wednesday week, is seen as a crucial part of Osieck's preparations for January's Asian Cup tournament in Qatar.
"I think Egypt may play similar to the Arabian countries, the Arabian style," Osieck said.
"I've seen Egypt a couple of times and the last time was in the Confederations Cup in 2009 where I think they had a pretty strong tournament.
"We all probably know that they won the African Cup of Nations in January, so I expect them to be a very good test for us.
"Looking at the selection of the team I think it's a good one because we are facing in this game already a style of play and skill that we are going to face in the final tournament in Qatar."
Egypt is currently the top ranked nation in the African Football Confederation (CAF), the reigning Africa Cup of Nations Champions and 11th in the FIFA World Rankings.
The two nations have met once before, in the 1987 President's Cup in Korea, with the Socceroos emerging victorious 4-3 in a penalty shootout after a 0-0 draw.
