Striker Anwer Mabil says playing three friendlies has been perfect mental and physical preparation for the Socceroos to defend their Asian Cup title.

Coach Graham Arnold's entire 23-man squad has now arrived at their UAE camp ahead of the tournament, which begins on Thursday night.

Australia will play a final friendly with Oman on Sunday and Mabil says that game, along with previous friendlies against Lebanon and South Korea, will have the squad in a positive mindset as they push to become the fourth nation to win two or more Asian Cups.

"We are all brothers, we all look out for each other and enjoy each other's company, so it is really, really good vibes and we are all looking forward to the game on Sunday," Mabil said.

"It (playing three friendlies) has prepared me mentally and physically as to what to expect.

"Just being in this team makes you want to set your standard high and every training you have to be at your best because you have such good players who are pushing you, so the quality is really high. I think just being in this environment prepares you."

Australia are set to play their first Group B match against Jordan at 3pm local time (10pm AEDT) on Friday.

The Socceroos are aiming to become the first team to win back-to-back titles since Japan in 2000 and 2004.
