Solo learner driver hits SA woman: police

A learner driver is accused of hitting a 50-year-old woman while driving unsupervised in north Adelaide.

A pedestrian is fighting for life after she was allegedly hit by an unsupervised learner driver in Adelaide.

The 50-year-old woman was rushed to Royal Adelaide Hospital in a critical condition after the crash on Currawong Crescent in Craigmore at about 9pm on Saturday, police say.

A 23-year-old woman has been reported for causing serious harm by dangerous driving, failing to stop at a collision and breaching learner's conditions. She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
