Melbourne halves Cameron Munster and Brodie Croft were notable absentees as the Storm began NRL grand final preparations, however the pair aren't believed to be in any danger of missing the decider against the Sydney Roosters.
The Storm squad went through their paces at an open session in front of Melbourne fans however Ryley Jacks and Jahrome Hughes filled the halves roles.
Melbourne football manager Frank Ponissi said it was nothing serious for the key duo.
"It's just soreness and it's a precaution," Ponissi said.
The pair were both present at the Storm's media session before training and didn't look to be hampered in any way.
The Storm's main injury concern, prop Tim Glasby, trained away from the main group.
Glasby suffered rib cartilage damage in their preliminary final win over Cronulla.
The Queensland Origin forward only lasted 12 minutes before being forced off with the injury, however came on for the last few minutes when the game was won.
Glasby said it was the worst rib injury he had had but believed he would recover in time for the grand final, which is his last Storm game after signing with Newcastle.
