South Africa make 6 changes for France tie

South Africa coach Heyneke Meyer has made six changes to his team as they try to seal their first win in France since 1997.

South Africa has made six changes from the team that beat Scotland 28-0 for their test against France.

Coach Heyneke Meyer has swapped his halves with flyhalf Morne Steyn returning alongside Ruan Pienaar to replace Pat Lambie and Fourie du Preez for Saturday's clash.

The changes in the forwards are in the tight five.

Eben Etzebeth comes in for Bakkies Botha at lock, props Coenie Oosthuizen and Tendai Mtawarira replace Frans Malherbe and Gurthro Steenkamp, and vice-captain Bismarck du Plessis wins his 57th cap in place of Adriaan Strauss.

South Africa has not won in France since a 52-10 win in 1997.

France has won the past four meetings at home.
