A peace march against xenophobia takes place in Durban

South Africa is still reeling after a spate of xenophobic hatred that left at least seven people dead and forced thousands from their homes.

Zulu king Goodwill Zwelithini has denied whipping up the anti-immigrant violence after he made an angry speech last month blaming immigrants for rising crime.

SBS Radio's Swahili program spoke with Tharcisse Balolebwani, a migrant from DR Congo, who was hospitalised after being attacked in Durban.

Tharcisse began by telling Gode Migerano about how he was targetted.
