The youngest country in the world, South Sudan, is struggling to rebuild as violence continues on its border with the north.
Tens of thousands of refugees have poured over the border, since the country gained independence last year.
Thousands more are also heading home from neighbouring countries, but not everyone is willing to go back.
In Uganda, many say they prefer to stay.
SBS Reporter Jeannette Francis reports from northern Uganda that those refugees are facing an uncertain future.
