The violent storms that swept across parts of southeast Queensland on Thursday left a trail of destruction and injuries.
INJURIES
* A primary school-aged boy is critically injured in hospital after a tree fell on him during storm mop up at a property at Coonabunia on Friday morning
* Two women and a baby girl were cut and bruised on Thursday when their car was pounded by large hail near Kingaroy, blowing out the windows and pummelling them.
* One woman was injured when lightning near Beaudesert felled a tree, which hit her car on Thursday as she was driving.

DAMAGE
* The SES was called to 360 jobs across the region, mostly involving trees down and leaking roofs.
* Two roofs were ripped off houses near Maryborough.
POWER
* About 9000 homes and businesses were without power at the height of the storms and on Friday afternoon there were still 1500 without power in the region.
* Energex reported that 50 powerlines were downed in the Gympie area alone
WHAT CAUSED ALL THE DAMAGE?
HAIL
* Tennis Ball sized hail was reported near Kumbia .
* Golf-ball-sized hail reported from Kingaroy to the Sunshine Coast and up to the Wide Bay area including Bundaberg
TORNADO
* A tornado was reported by residents at Coolabunia and at Tansey near Kingaroy about 3:15pm.
LIGHTNING
* 70,000 lightning strikes recorded across southeast Queensland from midday into the evening.
* 30,000 of those were in the Gympie region alone.
RAIN
* Highest total falls were Noosa Heads with 96mm and Eumundi with 88mm
* There were also severe rain dumps in some areas:
_ 37mm of rainfall fell in 15 minutes and 72mm fell in 50 minutes west of Bundaberg
- 52mm of rainfall fell in 15 minutes and 60mm fell in 30 minutes north of Bundaberg
