South Sydney coach Michael Maguire continues to experiment with Greg Inglis, with the Queensland superstar shifted to centre for Friday night's round 16 NRL clash with Penrith.
After three years as Rabbitohs custodian, Inglis was moved into the five-eighth role for the round 10 win over Parramatta.
It was a move Inglis and Maguire indicated was a long-term one. But it appears it's been shelved, for now at least, after Maguire on Tuesday evening named his side to meet the Panthers.
Out-of-favour pivot Luke Keary was initially shifted to the bench to accommodate Maroons centre Inglis.
However, the 24-year-old, who on Tuesday announced his move to Sydney Roosters for two years starting in 2017, will partner Adam Reynolds in the Rabbitohs halves to meet the Panthers in the crucial clash two days after State of Origin II.

In one of a number of changes, Inglis' move means Cody Walker shifts from five-eighth to fullback for Souths, Alex Johnston changes to the wing and Kirisome Auva'a moves out of the side for the struggling Rabbitohs.
Aaron Gray will play in the centres, while Tautalatasi Tasi will make his NRL debut on the wing.
Souths, who have lost three straight, sit fourth last on the NRL ladder going into round 16, ahead of only fellow battlers Manly, the Roosters and Newcastle.
