Souths' injury toll grows

Forward Zane Musgrove will join Souths teammates Adam Reynolds and John Sutton for an extended period on the sidelines due to a wrist injury.

Adam Reynolds won't require surgery on his fractured jaw but the South Sydney halfback will be sidelined for up to 12 weeks, the NRL club confirmed on Tuesday.

Reynolds was injured in the 42-10 thumping of the Roosters on Sunday and scans had previously been inconclusive.

However the Rabbitohs said their No.7 will miss up to 12 weeks, with a best case scenario being six weeks.

In another injury blow, interchange forward Zane Musgrove will require surgery on a wrist injury.

Musgrove is also set for an extended stint on the sidelines, although no definitive time frame was given by the club for his recovery.

John Sutton underwent surgery on a pectoral injury on Monday and is expected to be out for 16 weeks.
