OLYMPICS - Shooting veteran Michael Diamond is in doubt for his seventh Olympics after being arrested on gun charges.

RUGBY LEAGUE - NSW coach Laurie Daley is set to name his fourth halves pairing in his fourth State of Origin series as the Blues unveil their 17 this morning.

TENNIS - Nick Kyrgios has found himself in a slanging match with chair umpire Carlos Ramos over a code violation in beating Italian Marco Cecchinato 7-6 (8-6) 7-6 (8-6) 6-4 at the French Open. Rain has halted play just a few games into the opening round.

AFL - Greater Western Sydney have claimed a record sixth successive victory, winning 15.8 (98) to 10.13 (73) against the Western Bulldogs to zero in on a maiden AFL finals appearance.

The victory sees them return to third spot on the ladder, two games behind unbeaten North Melbourne and behind Geelong on for and against.
