Sri Lankan's language fine from Aust T20

Disparaging language towards Australian captain David Warner in the first T20 has led to a big fine for Sri Lankan spinner Sachithra Senanayake.

Sri Lanka offspinner Sachithra Senanayake has been fined for using disparaging language at Australian captain David Warner during the first Twenty20.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) said Senanayake was fined 30 per cent of his fee for Tuesday's game by match referee Javal Srinath.

In the fifth over of the match, Senanayake dismissed Warner and made remarks that could have provoked a reaction. The bowler admitted his offence and accepted the sanction, the ICC added.

Australia went on to win the match by 85 runs. The second and last T20 is on Friday in Colombo.
