Actor Sylvester Stallone has denied accusations that he sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl in 1986.

"This is a ridiculous, categorically false story," said Stallone's spokeswoman Michelle Bega in a statement provided to dpa.

The 71-year-old actor had never been contacted by authorities regarding the alleged assault, the statement said.

British tabloid The Daily Mail reported on Thursday that it had obtained a Las Vegas police report about the incident, which allegedly occurred in 1986 when Stallone was in Las Vegas filming Over the Top.
Citing the police report, the paper said the 16-year-old girl met Stallone, then aged 40, at a Las Vegas hotel where he forced her to have sex with him and his bodyguard Michael De Luca. The girl also had oral sex with both men, the report alleged.

The girl did not pursue charges because she felt "humiliated and ashamed", the paper reported. It also published a copy of the 11-page report, which it said was a true copy according to a retired Las Vegas metro police department detective sergeant.

De Luca was fatally shot by police during a traffic-stop in 2013.
