The space cowboy has landed.
Harrison Ford has walked the red carpet at the Sydney Opera House, expressing delight at the large turnout of fans.
The actor is reprising his role as Hans Solo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and turned up at the Sydney venue on Thursday at a fan event ahead of the release of the film next week.
"I'm delighted, it's beautiful," Harrison told AAP as he surveyed his surroundings.

The next film will not be directed by the movie's original boss George Lucas but is instead helmed by director JJ Abrams.
Ford says the franchise is in safe hands.
"(He brings) His own sensibility, his own craft, his own understanding of what the original films were important for, and his own experience as a young person watching them," he said.
"He's very much a fan of the original films".

Ford spent a long time signing autographs and posing for selfies with the hoards of fans who turned up, many in costumes from the film and some brandishing lightsabers.
The actor will take part in a Q&A with a fellow Star Wars alumni, Kiwi actor Jay Laga'aia on the Opera House forecourt.
