Mitchell Starc has ensured his first Boxing Day Test will be one to remember, belting Pakistan's spinners for a record-breaking seven sixes.
With the second Test between Australia and Pakistan seemingly headed for a draw on day five, the tailender threw caution to the wind, smashing 84 off 91 balls before Australia declared on an MCG record 8-624.
The record for most sixes in an MCG Test innings had previously been held by Andrew Symonds, who belted six against South Africa in 2005.
Five of Starc's sixes were struck against legspinner Yasir Shah, who has struggled badly in Australia so far and finished with 3-207.
Part-time spinner Azhar Ali copped the rest, with Starc taking full advantage of a lifeless MCG pitch.

The swashbuckling knock came to an end when Starc was caught by Asad Shafiq at deep square leg off the bowling of Sohail Khan.
Paceman Starc had been lacklustre with the ball, taking 1-125 in 31 overs, but he's bound to be pleased with his day five heroics in his Boxing Day debut.
The No.8, whose highest score of 99 came during Australia's tour of India in 2013, has now made eight Test half-centuries.
