Australian captain Steve Smith is among five Test stars to get late call ups to the NSW squad for the domestic one-day competition following the cancellation of the tour of Bangladesh.

Smith, Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Stephen O'Keefe and Peter Nevill have been added to the Blues' 14-man squad for the 50-over tournament in Sydney starting on Monday.

Ryan Gibson, Chris Green, Josh Lalor and Ben Rohrer are the unlucky players to make way, along with Test quick Josh Hazlewood who is being rested until mid-tournament.

Victoria welcome back powerful batsman Glenn Maxwell and paceman Peter Siddle from the Test squad, with recent Ashes squad leg-spinner Fawad Ahmed and untried all-rounder Ian Holland making way.

Australian vice-captain Adam Voges, Shaun Marsh, Mitchell Marsh and Cameron Bancroft all come into WA's squad, with Will Bosisto, Marcus Harris, Tom Beaton and Jonathan Wells dropping out.

The One-Day Cup begins on Monday in Sydney with six of the seven teams in action as Queensland play Tasmania, NSW play the CA XI and South Australia meet West Australia.
