Liam Plunkett has vowed the Melbourne Stars will not dwell on their second BBL defeat inside three days which has seen them drop out of the top four.
The Stars lost convincingly to the Perth Scorchers on Wednesday and were thumped by 41 points by the Adelaide Strikers on Friday night.
The absence of captain Glenn Maxwell, all-rounder Marcus Stoinis, batsman Peter Handscomb and legspinner Adam Zampa is stretching the Stars' depth but Plunkett believes there is plenty of time left in the season to regroup.
"You can't dwell on it too much," he said.
"We didn't have time to dwell (after the Scorchers loss) - one day of travel - then we play again on Monday (against the ladder-leading Hobart Hurricanes).

"We have one training day where we'll work on some stuff and everyone will back each other.
"(If we) win our next game, it's 4-4 (win-loss).
"Plenty of games left in the tournament so we're not too down on ourselves at all."
Plunkett and his fellow bowlers found it hard going against the Strikers batsmen who, after a slow start, blasted the Stars all over Adelaide Oval in the middle-to-late overs.
Travis Head smoked Plunkett for three consecutive sixes before the veteran Yorkshireman dismissed the Adelaide captain the following ball, caught by Jackson Bird in the deep.
Despite finishing with 4-36 - the second-best figures of his Twenty20 career - Plunkett was far from satisfied with his haul.
"I felt I bowled alright but it would be nice to get 4-20, not 4-36," the paceman said.
"Wickets are wickets but it would have been nice to have more of an impact early on before the batters got going."
