Steenkamp's uncle 'will forgive' Pistorius

Reeva Steenkamp's family have broken their since for the first time since Oscar Pistorius was granted bail over the death of his girlfriend.

Mike Steenkamp, Reeva's uncle, said he would like to be face-to-face with Pistorius and would forgive him, whether it was an accident or murder.

''Whatever the outcome, I feel it's my belief and if Christ could forgive when he died on the cross, why can't I?" said Mr Steenkamp.

Pistorius has been charged with premeditated murder over the death of his model girlfriend on Valentine's Day this year.

The OIympic athlete claims he mistook her for an intruder.
