QI star Stephen Fry and his boyfriend Elliot Spencer have reportedly formally applied to marry.

British actor Stephen Fry is reportedly engaged to his boyfriend.

The QI star is set to marry comedian and writer Elliot Spencer, 27, after the couple made a formal application to marry at a register office in Dereham, Norfolk on December 23, UK newspaper the Mirror reports.

Fry, 57, and Spencer began dating last year.

In 2010, Fry split from his partner of 14 years, make-up and vitamin salesman Daniel Cohen.
