Stolen dog reunited with pet owner

Television actor Matt Wilson's French bulldog Timba has been found tied outside a Melbourne business after being reported stolen.

Timba the French bulldog, stolen from Neighbours actor Matt Wilson, has been found outside a Melbourne business.

She was dognapped from outside Officeworks on Maroondah Highway in Chirnside Park on Friday about 2.30pm.

Timba was found on Saturday evening tied outside a business not far from where she was taken.

"Thank you everyone so so much. Whoever had her, seemed to be spooked by all the social media attention and left her at a hardware store," Mr Wilson posted on Instagram.

"She will be back with us soon. Couldn't have done this without everyone's support and contribution. Thank you."

Victoria Police issued a statement thanking members of the public for their help. 

"Police would like to thank the public and media for their assistance in locating missing French bulldog, Timba," the statement said.

"The dog was located this evening tied up outside a business not far from where she was last seen."
