Storm rep stars set for Warriors NRL clash

Melbourne coach Craig Bellamy is expecting his rep players to back up for their NRL clash with the Warriors, with Will Chambers the only player in doubt.

Melbourne coach Craig Bellamy has joked Felise Kaufusi may be asked to wear his Queensland jumper under his Storm strip after a barnstorming performance in the Maroons' State of Origin I win.

Ahead of their NRL clash with the Warriors in Auckland on Saturday, Bellamy said his representative players - Kaufusi, Cameron Munster, Will Chambers and Josh Addo-Carr - had come through Origin unscathed.

He said centre Chambers was the only player in doubt for the Mt Smart Stadium match, but that was due to backing up as a 31-year-old rather than injury.

Bellamy said he felt all of the Storm players delivered in game one in Brisbane, and made special mention of second-rower Kaufusi.

Playing his fourth Origin match, the 27-year-old was everywhere for the Maroons, ripping into NSW to run 119m and make 30 tackles.

Bellamy said he might tap into Kaufusi's Queensland form, Superman-style.

"I might try and take a Maroons jumper over and put it under Fus' (Kaufusi) purple jumper on Saturday because that's as good a game as he played for a long time - he was outstanding," Bellamy said on Thursday.

The Origin contingent flew straight from Brisbane to Auckland, with a decision to be made on their participation after Friday's training run.

"They're a bit sore but Will would be our main concern," Bellamy said.

"Just in that he's a bit older than the other guys and had a couple of problems with his knee earlier in the season."

Justin Olam or Sandor Earl will come in if Chambers is scratched.

Bellamy said he was happy to see Queenslander Chambers get the points over his NSW opposite Latrell Mitchell, containing him to just 76m after the Sydney Rooster dominated recent meetings, including last year's grand final.

"Will was outstanding," Bellamy said.

"He took the rivalry in the match really personally and I thought he had one of his best games for a little while."

The Warriors didn't have any players involved in Origin and Bellamy said it could be an advantage.

"I suppose it is - not having any players playing two or three days and there's no disruption during the week but we want our players to play Origin.

"It's a great reward for good form."
