Storm saving best for NRL round one: Smith

Melbourne Storm won't be giving away too during their Canterbury Bulldogs trial game, captain Cameron Smith says.

Melbourne Storm won't show their full hand for Saturday's rugby league trial game with the Bulldogs, captain Cameron Smith says.

The Hobart fixture acts as a preview of the NRL's round one at the Dogs' Belmore home base on March 3 but Smith has indicated his side will save their best for the competition proper.

"I'm sure we will keep a few things up our sleeves," said Smith, who confirmed he'll make his comeback at North Hobart Oval, where the side will still be missing star five-eighth Billy Slater.
