Voters making a late dash to polling booths in parts of southeast Queensland risk getting caught in storms.
A severe thunderstorm warning is current for parts of the Southeast Coast district, with Ipswich and Boonah in the firing line.
However the weather bureau has cancelled a severe warning for Southeast Queensland, saying the storms are no longer classified as severe.
The thunderstorm activity comes just hours before polling booths for the council elections and state referendum close at 6pm (AEST) on Saturday.
