Melbourne Storm fullback Billy Slater has added a second Clive Churchill Medal to his already bulging trophy case, after starring in their emphatic NRL grand final win over North Queensland at ANZ Stadium on Sunday.
Slater was typically influential, along with his long term Storm, Queensland and Australian teammates in hooker and captain Cameron Smith and halfback Cooper Cronk.
The 34-year-old scored a try, set up another for Felise Kaufusi and ran for 137 metres including six tackle busts.
Slater had previously won the medal in 2009 with Storm's win over Parramatta.
It capped off a triumphant domestic campaign for Slater, who had his last two seasons wiped out by shoulder injuries and surgeries.
