Students affected by this week's NAPLAN technical glitches will be offered the chance to resit their tests.

Affected students will have the option to re-sit tests on Tuesday, May 28, and if the students decide to take the second test, that will be the result recorded for NAPLAN 2019, the Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority said on Friday.

Some students lost connectivity and others were unable to log in at all on Tuesday during the first lot of NAPLAN tests.

By the end of the first week of online testing, 1.5 million tests had been submitted.
