Spanish sixth seed Carla Suarez Navarro will meet Germany's Andrea Petkovic in the final of the WTA Diamond Games tournament after both players won their semi-finals in straight sets.
Suarez Navarro overpowered Czech Republic's Karolina Pliskova 6-2 6-2 while Petkovic was given a sterner test by another Czech, Barbora Strycova.
The fourth seed, who is chasing her fifth WTA title, needed two tie-breaks to subdue Strycova 7-6 (7-2) 7-6 (8-6).
The two finalists, who have never met in WTA action, now square off in Sunday's championship match.
