Sunday night TV to feature Morcombe case

Nine Network's 60 Minutes and Seven Network's Sunday Night will both feature stories this weekend about schoolboy Daniel Morcombe and his murderer.

Investigative TV shows 60 Minutes and Sunday Night will rush out exclusive stories on Sunday about the murder of Queensland schoolboy Daniel Morcombe.

The Nine Network's long-running 60 Minutes has obtained interviews with Daniel's parents Bruce and Denise, his twin brother Bradley and eldest brother Dean.

They discuss the conviction of Brett Peter Cowan, who on Thursday was found guilty of murdering the 13-year-old in 2003.

Cowan was also found guilty of indecently treating Daniel and interfering with his corpse.

A re-enactment of the abduction was performed by 60 Minutes on Wednesday under the same bridge on the Sunshine Coast where Daniel vanished while waiting for a bus.

The Seven Network's Sunday Night has taken a different tack, visiting the Perth hotel suite where undercover police were able to get Cowan to confess to the crime.

Cowan's admission was captured by a hidden camera and used as evidence against him.

Sunday Night also interviews two women who "shared" their lives with Cowan.

* Sunday Night airs on Sunday at 8pm on the Seven Network.

* 60 Minutes: Special Investigation airs on Sunday at 7.40pm on the Nine Network.
