Dateline finds that behind Morocco's quiet facade during the recent uprisings, there is very real discontent on the country's streets.

Morocco has barely warranted a mention in this year's protests across North Africa and the Middle East.

But Sunday's Dateline on SBS ONE finds that behind the tourist facade and the outward support for its long-serving monarchy, there is very real discontent.

Video journalist Fouad Hady has managed to film the protests that the government doesn't want us to see, as people rally against the power held by King Mohammed and high levels of poverty and unemployment.

And he meets the family of one of the most vocal critics, journalist Rachid Nini, who say he's being kept in prison on fabricated charges.

The King is reforming the constitution, but for many it's not enough, so could Morocco be next in the wave of uprisings?
