Gold Coast's past two AFL matches have simply not been up to standard and defender Steven May concedes the team deserve any criticism coming their way.
The Suns backed up a shock loss to bottom-placed Essendon with a meek 71-point thrashing by Collingwood last Saturday.
May admits coach Rodney Eade didn't hold back in his review of the team's performance ad that is fair enough as far as he's concerned.
"We deserved it," May said.
"Rocket's renowned for his brutal reviews but full credit to him, he has to dish it up when we need it and we certainly need it after the last two disappointing weeks.

"He's got the boys fired up and we're ready to go, one last game of the year."
The Suns face Port Adelaide in their final match of the season at Metricon Stadium on Saturday.
In a year blighted by injury, there was more bad news with midfielder Jarrod Harbrow ruled out of the clash with the Power due to a broken hand.
Harbrow's absence means forward Tom Lynch is poised to be the Suns' only ever-present player in 2016.
Sean Lemmens (concussion) has also been ruled out while David Swallow's hamstring strain picked up on his return to action in reserves will prevent him making an AFL comeback.
May however is insistent 2016 has been a good year for the Suns despite sitting 15th with just six wins.
"We've made huge gains at the club this year, on and off-field," he said.
"We've laid a lot of foundations and we've found some younger players who will be a part of our team next year.
"Although the wins don't stack up, we feel we're in a better place."
