Suns keen to add aggression against Roos

Callum Ah Chee says Gold Coast's loss to Adelaide has proven they must play a physical and aggressive style of football to climb up the AFL ladder.

Gold Coast are preparing to assert themselves when the going gets tough against a desperate North Melbourne side searching for their first win of the season on Saturday.

Calum Ah Chee says the last-round 67-point loss to Adelaide has driven home the need for the Suns to play a brave and bold brand of football.

"We went into our shells a bit when they (the Crows) got a run on us," Ah Chee said on Monday.

"The boys need to be confident as a group that we can take the game on, and when we do good things happen."

The loss to competition leaders Adelaide left the Suns 12th on the ladder with two wins from five games.

Ah Chee is adamant that when Gold Coast are strong at the contest it gives them confidence and they aim to bring this tenacity against the Kangaroos at Etihad Stadium.

"We showed it against Hawthorn and Carlton, it's there we can do it," Ah Chee said.

After the Crows loss, Suns coach Rodney Eade told reporters his side lacked physicality with half of the team registering one tackle or less.

The 2015 No.5 draft pick is itching to get the chance for redemption following the blowout defeat to Adelaide.

"A loss like that gets you firing and we'll take that into next week," Ah Chee said.

"We're not taking North lightly."
