Surfers ride out NY snow storm

A group of surfers in New York have decided to ride out this week's snow storm by hanging ten in blizzard conditions.

Surfers braved the whipping wind and raging waves for a chilly thrill in Montauk as the Northeast Blizzard raged on.

Montauk, on the eastern end of Long Island, was blanketed by more than half a metre of snow.

Maureen Keller, an employee at the Montauk oceanfront resort, said the weather was like a "hurricane with snow".
