Suspected Dallas gunman confirmed dead

A man suspected of carrying out a rampage in Texas has been shot dead by police snipers following an attack on the Dallas police headquarters.

The suspect had allegedly planted bombs and sprayed the headquarters and police cars with gunfire during the incident.

Police have ruled out any connection to terrorism, and say the incident is linked to a child custody issue.
