Melbourne looked just fine to John Longmire when they made their charge in Friday night's AFL loss to Essendon.
The Sydney coach would hear nothing of the suggestion his team will catch the Demons at the right time when they clash this Thursday night at the SCG.
The Swans posted their first win of the season on Saturday when they held off Carlton in the last quarter to win by 19 points at Marvel Stadium.
Melbourne showed signs of life on Friday night at the MCG, but are 0-3 after going down to Essendon.
"I saw them kick seven goals straight in the second quarter and they looked alright to me then," Longmire said.

The Swans have a five-day break and when asked what they would do to prepare, Longmire joked "not much".
He added that recovering properly will be the key.
"It's not so much put the feet up, it's just go to work (with recovery)," he said.
"It won't be an easy one, but we'll get ourselves right."
They will lose veteran Jarrad McVeigh, who suffered a quad injury in the last quarter, and Will Hayward broke his jaw when he hit the ground heavily.
But the flip side was star utility Isaac Heeney, who returned to form with a four-goal game after being below par in their first two rounds..
Longmire noted Heeney was lucky not to suffer a serious ankle injury in their second pre-season game.
"He had the mix as absolutely what we'd like, midfield/forward," Longmire said of Heeney's game against Carlton.
Longmire said Sydney matched Carlton when it counted in the last quarter.
"Just a couple of times we had our opportunities to play really good, strong footy and we did. There was some really strong efforts in the air and on the deck," he said.
"It stood out to us, that aspect of the game."
Callum Sinclair was dominant in the ruck, while Callum Mills had a strong game on Marc Murphy.
Josh Kennedy and Zac Jones were the pick of their midfielders.
