Swans' Zak Jones offered two-game AFL ban

Sydney are set to lose another key player with Zak Jones offered a two-game AFL suspension for rough conduct on Essendon's Kyle Langford.

Sydney have been dealt another blow with Zak Jones facing a two-game AFL suspension for rough conduct on Essendon's Kyle Langford.

Jones was reported in the fourth quarter of Friday night's 43-point loss to Essendon after flattening Langford with a clumsy high bump.

Langford was sent to hospital after reporting shoulder pain but the Bombers on Saturday said he had been cleared of any serious injury.

The incident was classified as careless conduct with high impact to the head.

It is more bad news for the injury-hit Swans, who have lost four of their last five games and could finish the weekend outside of the top eight.

Jones has also been fined $1500 for an incident involving Zach Merrett before the opening bounce.

The Swans backman was booked over the left hook on Merrett but has been charged with misconduct rather than striking.

Essendon midfielder Devon Smith can accept a $1000 fine for an attempted trip on Sydney's Luke Parker.
