A Swedish cartoon featuring dancing penises and vaginas has attracted widespread complaints from parents.

The minute long clip shows cute cartoon penises and vaginas bopping along to a catchy tune about body parts. The segment was produced for Bacillakuten, a TV show aimed at children between three and six years of age.
“Here comes Willie at a run, he has no pants,” the song sings. “Twinkle is cool, you better believe it, even on an old lady. It just sits there so elegantly."

The song was written and performed by Johan Holmström, whose previous songs for the programme include “Pee, farting and pooping” and “Molluscs in my pants”.

“I feel sorry for those parents who get upset, this is a harmless music video,” Holmström told The Guardian. He hoped to release the full version of the song on Spotify.

The YouTube clip has been viewed nearly two million times, and has divided parents across Sweden.

On the program's Facebook page, one parent complained: "How a clip like this got the green light is the most bizarre thing of the year - and the year is only eight days old," one person wrote.

However, others didn't mind the clip so much.

"What a great song about the most natural thing there is. I think it was my daughter, however, who was bopping along the most," wrote another.

Kajsa Peters, the program’s executive producer, told The Guardian the reaction had been overwhelmingly supportive.

"We aim our programs at children, but most parents watch them with the kids and we hope we make it easier for them to talk about and explain things."

She added: “When there is so much discussion and debate maybe that means it’s something society needs.”
