Syd man 'runs down neighbour' in dispute

A neighbourly dispute has resulted in a man being run over by a 4WD in Sydney's west, while close by a car crashed into a house in an unrelated incident.

A 24-year-old Sydney man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly running over his 43-year-old neighbour with his 4WD during a heated dispute.

The younger man was arrested and had his vehicle seized after driving into his neighbour in Lalor Park on Tuesday evening.

He was subsequently charged with attempted murder and intimidation.

He's due to face Blacktown Local Court on Wednesday.

The 43-year-old neighbour suffered serious leg injuries and remains in Westmead Hospital.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident just around the corner, a car smashed into the front of a home about 1am on Wednesday.

The 19-year-old driver was trapped in his car briefly before being rushed to hospital in a serious condition.

At the time of the crash no-one was in the house, which suffered severe structural damage.
