Apple fans haven't tired of queuing, with hundreds lining up in Sydney's CBD to get their hands on the new iPhone X.
Apple staff cheered as the doors opened to the George St store at 8am on Friday, with Aussies the first in the world to purchase the latest phone.
Bishoy Behman, 18, was so keen to get the gadget first that he paid people to stake out his position in line.
"I camped out for a week for both the seven (iPhone 7) and ten (iPhone X)," Mr Behman told AAP.
"I was paying someone to sit for me most of the time."
Twenty-year-old Mazen Korouche waited 10 days to be "first-in-line" for the iPhone 8.
This time he pre-ordered the latest version, but still queued overnight.
"I've only been waiting for a day - I took the easy way out," Mr Korouche told AAP.
"I still lined up because of the hype."
Both men already own the iPhone 8, which came out less than two months ago, but the pair says they would gift their "old" phones to their mums.
The iPhone X boasts new features including facial ID recognition and wireless charging.
Tech Guide Editor Stephen Fenech said the new Super Retina home screen is a departure from the normal design.
"We've had 10 years of having a home button on the iPhone, now suddenly Apple decided we want to remove all the barriers," he told AAP on Friday.
"A lot of people said the new face ID might be a little bit slower, might be a little bit more cumbersome, but it's actually as fast if not faster than pressing your finger on the home button."
Prices for the Apple iPhone X start at $1579.
