Sydney ferries resume after heavy fog

Sydney Harbour ferries are running again after early morning fog forced services to be suspended.

Sydney ferries have resumed operating between Manly and Circular Quay after services were suspended due to fog.

But passengers should allow extra travel time on Tuesday morning because ferries "may operate at a reduced speed", the Transport Management Centre (TMC) advises.

The TMC says passengers can continue to use ferry tickets, including Opal Cards, on Sydney Buses between Manly and Circular Quay until 8am (AEDT).

Early on Tuesday, visibility dropped to as low as 100 metres in some parts of Sydney due to heavy fog.
