A man has been charged with assaulting an officer after he allegedly blew snot at a policeman while at Red Hot Chili Peppers concert in the Hunter Valley.
The 25-year-old man was asked by security to leave the event, held at Hope Estate in Pokolbin on Saturday night, for being drunk.
When the Kensington man allegedly refused to follow directions police were asked to assist.
While officers were escorting him from the area, the man allegedly blew his nose at a male senior constable.
He was charged with assaulting an officer in the execution of duty and failing to leave a premise when required.
Security officers also refused entry to a bus with 20 people on board due to intoxication levels, police say.

The man was released on conditional bail and is due to appear at Cessnock Local Court on Wednesday, March 20.
A total of six people were charged with a range of offences including common assault, assaulting police, resisting arrest and failing to leave a licensed premise.
Almost 80 others were ejected from the event and 34 people were taken to a separate area due to drunkenness.
Three people were issued criminal infringement notices for trespass.
Superintendent Chad Gillies said it was disappointing to have had so many people ejected or excluded from the event due to drunkenness.
"Police are not there to spoil people's fun, but the behaviour of people affected by alcohol was unacceptable and a music event is not an excuse to break the law," Supt Gillies said.
