Sydney man on explosives charges

A man has been granted conditional bail and will face court after explosives were allegedly found in Sydney's southwest.

A man will face court after explosives were allegedly found at his southwest Sydney home.

Police searched a house at Watkins Crescent, Currans Hill on December 31 and allegedly found two explosives.

Officers from the Police Rescue & Bomb Disposal Squad attended the scene and rendered the situation safe.

A 30-year-old man at the residence was transferred to hospital for assessment and later released to Narellan police station.

He was charged with destroying or damaging property, possessing, supplying or making explosives and handling an explosive without licence.

He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear in Camden Local Court on January 15.
